Finally!

My doctor called me back this morning about the Nuva Ring. I told her what happened, and she said that was very unusual. I guess the majority of women who use the Nuva Ring don't have problems with it sliding down, but if you look at the online reviews, there are women who have that problem.

Anyway, she said she would be fine with doing a tubal ligation for me, but she wanted me to wait 3 months (which is better than the 6 months she previously said!) and then come in and talk to her about getting it done. In the meantime I'm thinking of using the sponge. My doctor said I should use it with a condom. Hmmm. Well, it's only for three months!

Are you having traditional tubal ligation or Essure?

I'm not sure why your doctor is making you wait this 3 months. If you've made it this long and STILL are convinced that having children is NOT for you, she should go ahead and allow you to undergo the procedure now. It isn't like 3 months is going to change your mind after all this time.

Just remember my post from a few days ago. Many insurances will pay for Essure, but will NOT pay for the confirmation test (which is like an ultrasound). I work for a hospital so I hear a lot about these things.

I predict that in three months she'll try putting you off another three months again, or suggest you try something else. That's how they pull that crap. I have no idea why its so freakin hard to get a tubal in our wonderfully free and liberated state of being.

Loving my tubal :)

Congratulations! It's so great to be in sight of something you've always wanted.
